English Lake District Photo Tour

Located in Northwest England, surrounding a space of 30 miles (48km) from North to South and 20 miles (32 km) from East to West.

As the countryman poet William Wordsworth born in Cockermouth in 1770 who lived most of his in the region stated “ I do not know any tract of country in which, within so narrow a compass, maybe found in equal variety in the influences of light and shadow upon the sublime or beautiful features of landscape” the landscape are very beautiful with many surprising hills and woodland and great lakes. The beauty of the mountains and mountain passes are very eye pleasing.

The lake district is 250 miles (400 km) from London and 75 miles (120 km) north of Manchester, and it is more frequently visited by day tourists and holiday makers than any other region of rarity in beauty the British Isles, however be warned in the summer time the traffic can be a big issue.
